**EVS Operations Manager, Janitorial/Housekeeping
– Juneau SEARHC (Relocation Assistance and Sign-on Bonus Available)****Description**SummaryThe Operations Manager provides supervision at the direction of management on site to coordinate activities of employees engaged in facilities operations or services at a health care establishment.

The Operations Manager coordinates, at the direction of management, janitorial and housekeeping services key functions and between 3 and 10 employees during the normal course of business.*** * This is a non-rotational opportunity.** _The successful applicant for this position will either live in or be willing to relocate to Juneau, AK.

Relocation assistance is available including a one time sign-on bonus of $1,500.00.

The sign-on bonus of $1,500.00
– minus all applicable legally required and authorized withholdings and deductions
– will be distributed after a full clearance has been issued and the employee has started working for NMS, at the specified work site, in accordance with our internal process.

The amount paid is considered a conditional payment until the employee has complete 24-months of consecutive employment with the company subsequent to the employee’s start date.

If the employee voluntary leaves the company or is terminated for cause, prior to completion of 24-months of employment, employee will be required to repay NMS a prorated amount which will be calculated by reducing the amount by 1/24 per month outstanding on the commitment.* * _Essential Duties and Responsibilities+ Serves as a working lead, coordinating activities of housekeepers engaged in cleaning and/or maintaining smaller less complex facilities of commercial, health care facility, school, residence hall, or other establishments.+ Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems; managing and approving timesheets.+ Assists in ensuring a safe working environment throughout the facility for all employees by complying with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures.+ Assists in monitoring employee productivity and provides suggestions for increased service or productivity.+ Responsible for the coordination of routine responsibilities of employees.

Responsibility for specific work or functional activities as directed by on-site management.+ Responsible for orientation and training of employees.+ Performs day to day assignments in addition to lead duties.+ Works with customers to ensure satisfaction in such areas as quality, service, and problem resolution.+ Takes an interest and initiative in the development of the facilities team.+ Participates in regular safety meetings, and safety trainings.

Applies all applicable OSHA requirements to all assigned work.

Reports all accidents and injuries in a timely manner.+ Adapts procedures, processes, tools, equipment and techniques to meet the requirements of the position.+ This position is responsible for the supervision of staff.+ Other duties that are pertinent to the department or unit’s success also may be assigned.**Qualifications**Minimum Requirements+ High school diploma or GED equivalent.+ Minimum one (1) year experience that evidences a working knowledge of cleaning equipment and general janitorial/housekeeping cleaning processes.+ Minimum one (1) year in a related leadership role with supervisory duties.+ Basic skillset in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).+ A valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years to be eligible under NMS’ vehicle insurance policy.+ Must be fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English.Working Conditions and Physical RequirementsWeather: Occasional exposure to harsh weather conditions; requires work be done both inside and outside.Noise level: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.Description of environment: Hospital setting.

Pace of work is medium and high volume of customer interaction.Physical requirements: Employee is required to frequently lift up to 50 lbs.

This position is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hands/fingers to handle or feel, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk/hear, see, taste/smell, and carry weight/lift.Travel: This position requires travel up to 25% of the time.
