Job InformationOpen to the general public and any current Municipal employee.This is a non-represented position (no union affiliation) and is subject to the provisions of the Personnel Rules of the Municipality of Anchorage.DEPARTMENT: Municipal Attorney – Criminal DivisionHOURS OF WORK: Monday through Friday; 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.LOCATION: City Hall; 632 W 6th AvenueExample of DutiesProvide all written, recorded statements and all electronic material to defense. Collect and maintain all discovery related to criminal cases, including but not limited to police reports and associated documents, audit and video records, photographs, 911s, Alaska Public Safety Information Network (APSIN), and Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) records, provide notice of such discovery to the defense (Rule of Criminal Procedure 16). Responsibilities also include maintaining and organizing paper and electronic files, locating and routing files to attorneys, redacting discovery when directed and updating case management system. Perform other related duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications / Substitutions / PreferencesHigh school diploma, GED, or equivalent and two (2) years of clerical or office experience, one (1) year of which must have been in a legal or law enforcement environment.Typing test at a net speed of 35 WPM at time of application. NOTE: In order to be considered, official certification of 35 WPM (current within the past one (1) year) MUST be attached to the application.
