Electrical QC Inspector

This is a Full-time position in Prudhoe Bay, AK posted June 7, 2021.

This is a full-time temporary project based position expected to be completed on or around October 2021 and will offer 401K with no additional benefitsThe Electrical / Instrumentation QC Inspector is responsible for testing, inspecting, installing, repairing, and maintaining instruments and control equipment. This position updates all electrical and instrumentation diagrams, documentation, and PLC programs in accordance with Company requirements.ESSENTIAL DUTIES* Perform and document inspections and conduct subcontractor audits as required.* Review applicable standards and codes to establish quality requirements and verify acceptance of finished products.* Develop inspection plans and reporting requirements in coordination with the Quality Manager.* Conduct inspections of electrical systems and system components.* Monitor the installation of electrical equipment including conductors, conduit, cable, cable trays, and hardware for compliance with customer requirements and Company quality standards.* Ensure all deliverables conform to drawings and specifications.* Investigate and address customer requests regarding quality.* Implement quality control procedures and document control processes as required.* Perform in-house audits on document control and material handling processes.* Identify quality training requirements and conduct training.* Interface with project management and procurement to communicate quality or supplier issues.* Ensure all deliverables are operational, complete, and ready for turnover to the customer.* Other duties as assigned.* Comply with Company and customer policies and procedures.* Support AES zero-incident safety culture and assume personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations.REQUIRED EXPERIENCE* High school diploma or GED equivalent* A minimum of five (5) years related training and experience required.* Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code required.* Experience with inspection gauges, tools, and documentation to support quality inspection activities requiredPREFERED EXPEREINCE* Experience in the oil and gas industry and in the arctic environment preferred.* Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel preferredCERTIFICATIONS* North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC) safety training certification required.Note to all current employees:It is recommended that all current employees inform their managers when they apply for new positions as leadership will be notified of current employees applying for posted positions.A candidate must be able to meet the following non-exclusive requirements:* Meet the AES Driving Records and Motor Vehicle Use Policy.* Meet the physical requirements of this position including working in a remote location under arctic conditions.* Take and pass a pre-employment drug test which may include both UA and hair testing.* Required to take and pass a Fit-For-Duty Exam.* Required to complete and successfully pass a background check.* Must be able to obtain and maintain an access badge for the work location.The availability of this position is contingent upon the Company’s continued operational needs once training is completed.If you need any assistance or a reasonable accommodation to apply for this position, please contact AES Human Resources at: 907-334-1688.
