Laborer- Environmental & Demolition


This is a Full-time position in Wainwright, AK posted May 12, 2021.

Seasonal work in support of various environmental clean-up and construction projects at remote Alaskan locations, on a rotational schedule, starting in May, ending in September. Housing and meals will be provided. Transportation to the project sites from Anchorage will be provided.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide general labor support as the project requires.
  • Excavate and containerize contaminated soil.
  • Operate hand tools and power tools.
  • Coordinate with and work around heavy equipment operations.
  • Set up and maintain job site safety equipment.
  • Perform daily tasks in a safe and workman like manner in accordance with company policies.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

There are no supervisory responsibilities associated with this position.

Education and/or Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Emergency responder training is a plus.
  • Experience working in safety equipment preferred (fall protection, eye protection, hearing protection, Tyvek suits, etc).
  • Additional relative experience may be required based upon the needs of the project.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Willingness and ability to perform manual work following verbal and written instructions.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

  • Hour Hazwoper certificate is required.
  • Current Driver’s License preferred.
