• Asbestos and/or LBP certifications, a plus

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office®.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet organization and project objectives.

• Technically adept, flexible, and forward thinking.

• Exhibits attention to detail, and able to work under periodic time constraints.

• Willingness to travel regionally for short periods of time.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 
ATC is currently seeking a Building Sciences Senior Project Manager to join our Anchorage, AK branch. Qualified candidates will have 5+ years of specific experience in at least one of the following disciplines: asbestos and lead-based paint surveys and project monitoring, microbial and IAQ investigations, industrial hygiene surveys or related field. ATC will cross-train the successful candidate in the other service areas. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a solid technical background and an excellent reputation of maintaining client relationships. The position will be responsible for management and execution of asbestos/lead projects, microbial/mold assessment, indoor air quality assessment, and industrial hygiene projects; supervision of field staff; preparation and review of technical proposals, cost estimates and reports; and business development.

The primary responsibilities for the successful candidate will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Manage and execute industrial hygiene project’s scope, schedule, budget, staff, and subcontractors for existing public and private sector clients,
  • Conduct asbestos, lead-based paint and other hazardous material surveys,
  • Provide asbestos and lead-based paint abatement monitoring,
  • Conduct mold and indoor air quality investigations and oversee remediation projects,
  • Collect detailed field notes and photographs to assist project managers with completing reports,
  • Prepare chain of custody’s for analytical testing, recording survey data in approved forms,
  • Implement ATC’s health and safety policies and procedures,
  • Travel locally and regionally to project sites using company vehicles
  •  Work off-hours and weekends periodically when required.
