The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a Site Water Purification Technology Manager, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world.

Here, you will make an impact by:

Leading plant process & technical teams aligned to water purification advancements to build and implement consistent solutions (systems/processes/procedures) across water treatment operations.

You will drive industry leading technology, process & operational improvements in the area of high-volume water purification.

Accelerate the adoption of benchmark water purification technologies & practices

Develop and deploy standard work for high quality water across the site w/ traceability & connected manufacturing

Improve plant systems & processes for process safety management, management of change, risk assessments, CAPA, PPU and run-to-target for water purification operations

You will collaborate and partner closely with corporate & USAC EHS, global & USAC division engineering, R&D, and enterprise leaders to establish goals and metrics necessary to drive success for our communities, employees, and the company.

In this leadership role, you will execute development plans aligned to water quality goals and metrics.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution

Ten (10) combined years of experience in one or more of the following areas: water purification and/or advanced water technology and process optimization

Five (5) years of combined experience in a senior technology management/supervisory position in a private, public, government, or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

Bachelor’s degree or higher in chemical engineering, environmental engineering

Demonstrated strong leadership ability and history of leading high-performance teams

Experience with connected manufacturing/automation for high-volume water technology leveraged for water purification, water testing and operations

Proficient knowledge in high volume water purification technologies including UV, ion exchange, reverse osmosis, carbon and other media filtration

Working knowledge of clean water act, constituent testing & corresponding removal technology efficacy, SWDA, NSF Standards for DWTU

Experience and certification with Lean Six Sigma/Lean Manufacturing methodologies

Experience with robust system implementation for reliable & stable process operation

Travel May include: Up to 25% domestic

Relocation Assistance: Is authorized
